Teaching children the message and implications of the gospel has taught Jared Kennedy valuable truths that he passes on to us in this interview. Jared has learned the value of leaders knowing their congregation (be they young or old!) and has found a creative retelling of the famous “Fallen Condition Focus.”
Jared is the husband of Megan and father to Rachael, Lucy, and Elisabeth. After serving fifteen+ years on staff at local churches, Jared now is an editor for The Gospel Coalition, He previously served as the Managing Editor of Gospel-Centered Family, and as a Children’s and Family Ministry Strategist for the Sojourn Network, and as an adjunct instructor at Boyce College. He is author of Jesus Rose for Me, Jesus Came for Me, God Made Me for Worship, The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible and coauthor of the PROOF Pirates and Clap Your Hands, Stomp Your Feet Vacation Bible School curriculums. His most recent book is Keeping Your Children’s Ministry on Mission: Practical Strategies for Discipling the Next Generation (Crossway, 2022)
